UTILERY SOFTWARE OPC PRIVATE LIMITED ("we", "us", or "our") operates the
Utilery application (the "app"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and
handle your
information when you use our productivity utilities.
International Data Notice: Utilery is operated from India. By using our services, users in
the EU, UK, USA, and other regions acknowledge and consent to the transfer and processing of their personal
data in India, where we maintain high standards of data security via the Google Cloud
Platform.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information necessary to maintain your account and provide utility functions:
- Account Information: Name, email address, and authentication credentials.
- Usage Data: Information on how you interact with our tools (e.g., utility types used,
frequency, and credit consumption).
- Saved Settings & Preferences: We save the configuration choices and options you select
for individual utilities and for the app to provide a convenient, personalized, and seamless user
experience on subsequent visits.
- Device Information: IP addresses, browser types, and operating system data for security
monitoring and fraud prevention.
- Uploaded Content: Files or data you upload for processing. Important:
Most data is processed transitively. We do not claim ownership of your files, and they are not stored
longer than necessary to complete the requested function, unless long term storage is required by you,
your organization, or by law.
- Administrative Review: To maintain the quality of our service and provide requested
support, authorized Utilery personnel may review uploaded content and processing logs.
2. Enterprise and Organization Accounts
If you access Utilery through an account provided by an organization (e.g., your employer), your data is
subject to the following:
- Organization Control: Your account is owned and managed by your organization. Their
administrator may be able to access your usage logs or disable your access.
- Usage Reporting: We provide reports to your organization regarding credit consumption
and tool activity to assist with their internal resource management.
- Data Rights: Requests for data deletion or access for enterprise accounts must
generally be directed to your organization’s administrator.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve our suite of productivity utilities.
- To manage your credit balance and process secure transactions.
- To provide technical support and communicate essential platform updates.
- To detect and prevent unauthorized access, "scraping," or abuse of our systems.
4. Data Residency and International Transfers
- Storage Location: Your data is currently stored and processed in the United States (US
Region) on the Google Cloud Platform. To optimize performance and latency, we reserve the right to
relocate data to other Google Cloud regions globally.
- Cross-Border Access: Authorized administrators of UTILERY SOFTWARE OPC PRIVATE
LIMITED may access your data from India or other countries to provide technical support, troubleshoot
issues, or improve the accuracy of our utility tools.
- Enterprise Visibility: If you use an account provided by an organization, your
organization's administrators may be located in countries different from your own and will have the
right to view and manage your data as per their internal policies.
- Consent: By using the Service, you consent to the cross-border transfer, storage, and
access of your information across these jurisdictions.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
- Account Data: We retain account information as long as your account is active.
Individual users
may request deletion at any time. Users managed by organizations are subject to the organization's data
retention policies.
- Processed Files: For standard utility functions (e.g., PDF conversion, OCR), uploaded
files are typically deleted from our active servers within 24 hours or immediately after the task is
finalized, unless otherwise requested by you, your organization, or by law.
- Legal Obligations: We may retain certain transaction data as required by Indian tax and
corporate laws.
6. Global Privacy Rights
We recognize and respect your privacy rights under various frameworks:
- India (DPDP Act 2023): You have the right to access, correct, or erase your data, and
to nominate a consent manager.
- EU/UK (GDPR): You have the right to data portability and to object to processing based
on legitimate interests.
- USA (CCPA/CPRA): We do not "sell" your personal data. You have the right to request a
disclosure of the categories of data collected.
7. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures, including SSL/TLS encryption for data in
transit and robust encryption at rest via Google Cloud infrastructure. While we strive for maximum
protection, please note that no method of electronic transmission is 100% secure.
8. Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. We only share information with:
- Service Providers: Secure partners like Google Cloud (Hosting, Storage, Authentication)
and payment gateways
(Processing) necessary to operate the service.
- Legal Compliance: When required by Indian law or valid legal processes in jurisdictions
where we operate.
