Digitize Data from Screenshots

The Challenge

Our customer, in their workflow, often receives critical data embedded within image screenshots. This meant that the data was not directly accessible or editable.

To utilize this information, their team had to:

• Open each screenshot image.
• Manually transcribe the data, field by field.
• Enter it into their system or spreadsheets.

With hundreds of rows of data across multiple screenshots, this manual data entry was not only time-consuming but also prone to typos and errors. It was a monotonous task that diverted attention from more valuable work.

The Utilery Solution

We provided a solution to automate the extraction of data from these images.

How it works:

1. The user simply drags and drops a batch of screenshot images into the utility.
2. Our advanced OCR (Optical Character Recognition) and data parsing engine processes each image.
3. It intelligently identifies the tabular data structure within the screenshots.
4. The utility extracts the text and numbers, maintaining the correct row and column format.
5. Finally, it compiles all the extracted data into a clean, structured CSV or Excel sheet, ready for immediate use.
